Product Designer (Maternity Leave Replacement)

Description

We're looking for a Product Designer to own the end-to-end experience of Bounce's product: from the website and communications that bring people in, to the consumer app where they resolve their debt, to the internal tools and the platform our partners use to manage accounts with us. As part of the design team, you'll also contribute to brand, web and marketing design, so we're looking for someone whose thinking doesn't stop at product.

This is a hands-on, high-ownership role for a designer who's equally comfortable working fast and working well.

This is a maternity leave cover position for at least six months, with a possibility of staying on afterwards.

How You’ll Spend Your Time

  • Own the end-to-end design of Bounce's product: the consumer app, consumer communications, internal tools and our partner platform, from a one-line idea to shipped UI
  • Turn complex flows like payment plans, hardship options and credit reporting into clear, simple experiences for people going through financial stress
  • Design workflows and features for partners, agents and operations teams
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Data and Compliance to ship realistic, buildable designs, and measure their impact through analytics and experiments
  • Maintain and evolve our design system across all product surfaces
  • Support Brand and Marketing with website pages, campaigns, presentations and brand collateral
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver polished work on tight timelines

Requirements

  • 3+ years of work experience in product design
  • Strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end product work across mobile and web
  • Figma - proficiency required
  • Experience with AI-assisted design and prototyping tools (Claude, Figma Weave, or similar)
  • Strong visual craft, including typography, layout and interaction design
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written)
  • Ability to multi-task, organize, give and receive design feedback, and prioritize work
  • B.Des or equivalent academic degree in Visual Communication

  • Background in brand or marketing design
  • Experience in fintech, B2B SaaS, or consumer apps
  • Experience building or maintaining a design system
  • Motion design or interactive prototyping skills
